Nomination Questions
What do I need to do for a nomination?
Our nomination form is a simple 3-step process. Not pages and pages of questions.
But, bear in mind, the East Anglian Marketing Awards are judged solely on the nomination form, so make sure it’s a good’un.
Find out more on our ‘How To Enter’ page.
How much does a nomination cost?
Nothing. The East Anglian Marketing Awards are 100% free to enter.
We don’t pay to play here.
How are the awards going to be judged?
We will carefully select industry leaders from across the UK to help us fairly find our winners. You can read more about how we keep things fair in our blog post: “Are winners just mates of the organisers?”.
When does someone find out they've been nominated?
We will email all nominees the day after nominations close (7th May).
That said, nominators receive an email upon submission, which includes a link to our official ‘I’ve been nominated’ graphics. If they choose to share those with the nominee early, they can!
How do I decide which category to enter?
Consider what we’re asking and which questions feel easier to answer. If it feels like a stretch, there may be a better fit.
What do I put in 'Supporting Evidence'?
We’ve got a list of examples on the form.
While this isn’t mandatory, judges have 4 extra points that they can grant for this section of the form (aka do it, if you can!).
What if I don't have all the information I need?
If you’re nominating someone else or a project you’ve had less involvement in, you can invite people who may know more (like the nominee themselves) to submit their own entry.
All nominations are reviewed together.
Eligibility Questions
Who is eligible to enter the awards?
The awards are open to any individual, business, or organisation that operates within the marketing profession in the East Anglia region.
What counts as 'East Anglia'?
There are varying definitions at play here. But we’ve gone with the core counties of:
-
Norfolk
-
Suffolk
-
Cambridgeshire
-
Essex (Northern parts only)
The Essex Question - where’s the cut-off?
East Anglia traditionally includes northern and northeastern Essex, especially areas closest to Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. This includes places like:
-
Colchester
-
Clacton-on-Sea
-
Harwich
-
Halstead
-
Maldon
-
Braintree
These areas share more cultural and economic ties with East Anglia than with the rest of Essex (which is often considered part of the Home Counties or the London commuter belt). If you live or work in any of these places – you’re eligible for an EAMA.
General Questions
Do we really need another awards programme?
There are brilliant regional marketing awards all over the UK – London, the Midlands, the North, the South West… but what about East Anglia? We’re over here doing incredible work, yet there’s no dedicated awards programme shining a light on our region’s talent.
Who is the organiser?
The East Anglian Marketing Awards are powered by Norfolk Women’s Marketing Network CIC. Having successfully run annual, community-based awards since 2023, the Network is branching out to run a programme that is not gender-specific and is for the whole of East Anglia. You can find out more about NWMN if you visit the Norfolk Women’s Marketing Network website here.
Why are the awards free to enter?
We’ve been asking the community about what, for them, is the biggest blocker to entering awards – the answer has overwhelmingly been price.
If it’s not the substantial entry fee, it’s the extortionate ticket price for the celebration event. We run events, so we understand why these costs are what they are. No shade. But as a Community Interest Company, we’re not here to make a killer profit, we’re keen to fill a gap in the market for community-based awards. Not a pay-to-play scenario, just a genuine chance for anyone to win an award if their nomination is good enough.
We’re fortunate to have the support of generous sponsors who help us power this programme and make it possible.
Where is the Celebration Event taking place?
The idea is to rotate venues over the years, so you can find out more about upcoming plans on our ‘The Event’ page.
With thanks to our 2026 sponsors
